The Directorate General Assam Rifles has invited online applications for 354 Group C vacancies under the Technical and Tradesman Recruitment Rally 2026. The recruitment covers 18 technical and tradesman categories, including Warrant Officer, Rifleman and other trade posts.

Eligibility and Age
Qualification depends on the selected trade and may include Class 10, Class 12, relevant ITI, diploma or healthcare-related technical certificates. Most Rifleman technical and tradesman posts have an 18–23 years age range, while Warrant Officer (Cipher), Operation Theatre Technician and Physiotherapist posts have an 18–25 years range. Age is counted on 1 July 2026. Relaxation is available for eligible SC/ST, OBC and Ex-Servicemen candidates.

Physical Standards and PET
For general All India male candidates, the PET includes a 5 km run in 24 minutes. The general minimum height is 170 cm with chest measurement of 80 cm unexpanded and 85 cm expanded. Relaxed standards apply to specified hill and regional categories and eligible ST candidates. Weight should be proportionate to age and height.
CBT Exam Pattern
The Computer Based Test has 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks and a duration of two hours. The paper is bilingual in Hindi and English. One mark is awarded for a correct answer and 0.25 mark is deducted for an incorrect answer. The minimum qualifying score is 35% for General/EWS and 33% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
Selection Process
Selection includes initial document screening, PET, PST, CBT, trade skill test, document verification, Detailed Medical Examination and Review Medical Examination where applicable. The trade skill test is practical and qualifying in nature. Candidates should carry original certificates, domicile proof and the application printout to the rally.
