Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has announced 660 Artisan Grade-IV vacancies under Advertisement No. 01/2026. The recruitment covers seven trades across nine BHEL manufacturing units.

Eligibility
Applicants must have Class 10, a National Trade Certificate/ITI and a National Apprenticeship Certificate in the relevant trade. The qualification cut-off is 1 October 2026. General and OBC candidates need 60% in both NTC/ITI and NAC, while SC/ST candidates need 55% subject to the notified reservation conditions. Only full-time regular courses are accepted.
Age and Salary
The upper age for General and EWS candidates is 27 years as on 1 October 2026. Relaxation applies to SC/ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD, ex-servicemen, eligible experience holders and other notified categories. Selected candidates receive ₹24,000 per month as Temporary Artisans for the first year. After regularisation under company rules, the Artisan Grade-IV scale is ₹29,500–₹65,000.

Exam Pattern
The Computer Based Examination has 120 objective questions for 120 marks and lasts 90 minutes. Trade-related questions carry 70 marks, Engineering/Calculations 30 marks and Reasoning 20 marks. A wrong answer carries a deduction of 0.25 mark. The paper is available in Hindi, English and a notified regional language option.
Selection Process
Selection includes the computer-based examination, document verification and a qualifying skill test. Final merit is prepared from CBE marks among candidates who clear verification and the skill test. Candidates generally select one manufacturing unit and one trade, so preferences should be chosen carefully.
Application Fee
UR/EWS/OBC candidates pay ₹600 examination fee plus processing charges, with the notified total shown as ₹1,072. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates pay no examination fee and the notified total is ₹472. The fee is non-refundable.
